Dry Skin? Discover Our Most Hydrating Skin Saviours

When the temperature drops it’s a good idea to bring out the big guns when it comes to skincare. With the change of season comes the need to definitely reassess our skincare arsenal accordingly, and how. In the cooler months, water loss from the skin increases due to low humidity and wind exposure, and then when you add the likes of air conditioning to the mix you have a recipe for sensitive, seriously grumpy skin.

Luckily for you, we at Clean Beauty Collective have curated a little ‘essentials’ list of our own in the form of our most moisturising, soothing and hydrating products.

Gentle cleanse

First things first – your skin needs a cleanse all year round,  whether you have been wearing makeup or not. A gentle cleanser will remove dirt, debris, and sunblock that may be left on the skin, and nourish and soothe while it’s at it. Trilogy’s certified natural Cream Cleanser is a gentle everyday cleanser that thoroughly removes daily impurities and make-up without drying you out, and feels pretty lush going on. A simple (we love simple), one-step cleanser, it is packed with the goodness of pure plant rosehip, evening primrose and carrot oils, which work together to leave skin feeling smoother, softer and refreshed.

Easy does it exfoliation

No matter how many serums and creams are applied, dry skin will stay dry without some light exfoliation. Pick up a gentle scrub, or if you’re suffering from raw or severely dry skin, skip the exfoliator and incorporate a wet washcloth instead for a gentler option. Trilogy’s certified natural Vitamin C Polishing Powder is a non-abrasive, freshly activated powder exfoliant that gently buffs, brightens and smooths skin, without causing any damage or unnecessary harm to delicate skin. Once activated with water, it becomes a foaming milk that helps remove dead skin cells and reveals a more illuminated, youthful-looking complexion with antioxidant vitamin C, energising mandarin and orange extracts and mattifying rice starch.

Moisturise, and then moisturise again

Now that the skin is buffed, any serums and moisturisers can penetrate and really get to work addressing dry winter skin. Essence of Humanity’s Nourishing Moisture Cream is a beautiful, luxurious-feeling rich daily moisturiser that comes packed with antioxidants to protect the skin from pollution and other external aggressors. It is delicately fragranced with notes of Violet, Raspberry, Cedarwood, Patchouli and Sandalwood too, so soothes and balance the senses as well as the skin.

Need to take it up another notch? Essence of Humanity also offer the Oneness Cream Balm, which is super concentrated and designed for face and body. It transforms from a cream into an easily-absorbed balm that melts into your skin on contact and is the MVP you need when your skin needs a bit of TLC.

For the ultimate in indulgent night cream, we love Skin Deep Intensive Night Repair Cream, which restores and corrects dehydrated, sensitised or sun damaged skin while you sleep. Its ingredient deck includes a unique blend of UMF Manuka Honey, Sweet Almond Oil and Olive Leaf Extract.

Essential add-ons

And for those who are feeling overly dry, it may be a good idea to add a mask to the mix. Nuori’s Supreme Moisture Mask is highly concentrated treatment for dehydrated and distressed skin, even helping to repair a damaged barrier. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes for an instant hydration boost, or use overnight for an intensified result.

Here’s to healthy, hydrated, and happy skin all the way through to Spring!
